Luna County, NM's first annual Lemonade Day was held May 21, 2022! Brought to you by the Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce, presenting sponsor Capital Power, First Savings Bank, Bravo Mic Communications, Solitaire, Lescombes Family Foundation and numerous other generous businesses and individuals.

WHAT'S LEMONADE DAY?
Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand. Each year, in participating cities, youth have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship by setting up their business during their city's community-wide Lemonade Day. lemonadeday.org/deming-luna

A sweet success! Luna County youth competed in the first annual best tasting contest as they prepared to compete in the main event May 21, 2022. This national program and 501c3, teaches children how to be entrepreneurs and business owners, by having their very own lemonade stand. The program teaches them many business skills and to "spend some, save some and share some".
With the help of an entire community, and the Deming Luna County Chamber of Commerce, Lemonade Day presented by Capital Power, prepares for it's first annual!

About Us: Providing resources for houseless residents of Luna County.

Our Mission: To Serve the needs of homeless people in Luna County, NM, improving their lives and providing avenues to self-sufficiency;

To develop, update regularly, and disseminate a resource list of services currently available to the homeless in Luna County,

To regularly convene gatherings of service providers and others concerned about the homeless;

and To actively encourage collaboration with other organizations in the region to further the stated purposes of Deming Silver Linings.

DAGSHIP Rescue with Deming Animal Guardians has been working to help Luna County, NM people and animals for 30-years. We subsidize spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations for companion animals, operate an emergency pet food bank, and help abandoned and surrendered pets find a new and loving homes. This clip will be used for a grant submission.

The Deming Luna County Commission on Aging is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors and Executive Director, Julie Bolton. Our mission is to promote independence, preserve dignity, and enhance life quality for a diverse population of older adults and people with disabilities. Our purpose is to provide services and programs to senior citizens, 60 years of age and older living in the City of Deming, Village of Columbus and Luna County. The Commission on Aging has been providing services to senior citizens in Luna County for over 35 years.
Through a grant, the Deming Luna Senior Citizens Center is putting their energy into a COVID-19 Vaccination Outreach Program in 2022.
